Society of Professional Journalists Founders Day ceremony

April 17, 2024; Columbus, Ohio, USA; Laura Bischoff accepts the First Amendment award at the 2024 Society of Professional Journalists Central Ohio Chapter annual Founders Day ceremony. Bischoff is a reporter for the USA TODAY Network Ohio Bureau, which serves the Columbus Dispatch, Cincinnati Enquirer, Akron Beacon Journal and 18 other affiliated news organizations across Ohio. She was part of a Gannett team of reporters and photographers that launched an eight-month investigation into Ohio's youth prisons and juvenile detention centers and found they're overwhelmed by violence, trauma and staff shortages. The SPJ event was held at the Columbus Center for Architecture and Design, 50 W. Town St.
